SALA Bang Pa in Hotel
Sala Bang Pa-In (บางปะอิน) is a modern resort hotel located on a small island along the banks of the Mae Nam Chao Phraya in Bang Pa-In District, Ayutthaya Province. It is conveniently situated just 60 kilometers from the center of Bangkok, 28 kilometers from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ayutthaya Historical Park, 41 kilometers from Don Mueang International Airport, and 74 kilometers from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The hotel offers 24 luxurious rooms and pool villas, all featuring modern minimalist designs and cutting-edge technology, such as high-end audio systems, LED TVs, and coffee machines with capsules. The hotel is surrounded by untouched natural scenery, seamlessly blending with the surrounding environment. The architect has designed the hotel to connect with the charming surroundings, making it a fascinating destination for urbanites seeking to escape the city and relax in peace and tranquility.
Sala Bang Pa-In is a villa hotel that interprets traditional Thai countryside landscapes with modern architecture. It is situated between the Mae Nam Chao Phraya and a canal. The wooden hotel lobby is open on three sides, coated in vibrant red paint. The same color scheme of the interior decorations creates a comfortable and serene atmosphere. The traditional Thai countryside houses exude a subtle Thai warmth. The elevated ground floor design helps prevent flooding, with the lobby and villa area facing each other across the water connected by a striking red arch bridge. Guests must park their cars at the suspended lobby, cross the bridge, and then reach the main resort.
While strolling on the unique bridge, one can enjoy the riverside scenery and the local customs of the opposite neighborhood. The deep red color of the suspension bridge stands out, appearing somewhat "out of place," but it actually establishes a connection between the modern hotel and the local culture, integrating the hotel with the surrounding town atmosphere.
Walking across the bridge, one can catch a glimpse of the grey-white hotel, blending into the banks of the river among the green trees and wild grass. Standing on the bridge, the contrast between the houses on both sides creates an illusion of the cycle of tradition and modernity. After crossing the bridge, guests are greeted by a huge swimming pool. The clear-bottomed pool forms a striking contrast with the deep red bridge, providing a strong visual impact.
A sunken terrace relaxation area parallel to the river is provided on one side of the pool for visitors to rest. Surrounded by ancient trees, the secluded space appears to be suspended in nature. Tables and chairs made of wood and woven rattan, along with the brick-red cushions and the red arch bridge at the entrance, exude the style of the local Thai village. Sitting on the terrace, feeling the breeze from the riverside, one's body and mind feel immersed in nature.
The resort offers three types of accommodations: Deluxe Rooms, Villas, and Three-Bedroom Suite Villas. The Deluxe Rooms are located behind the public swimming pool facing the Mae Nam Chao Phraya. As the smallest room type in the resort, the Deluxe Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and an external seating area. The large windows with wooden frames and plaster-colored exterior walls enhance comfort and relaxation. Guests can comfortably sit and relax, enjoying the natural surroundings, passing boats, and the local ambiance, providing a new experience.
If guests prefer more private space, the villas are the ideal choice. The villa accommodations in the resort offer greater privacy and feature spacious private terraces and private pools facing the river. The villas have floor-to-ceiling windows for guests to enjoy the view of the river from indoors. The front and rear designs of each villa bedroom simulate natural scenery, making guests feel immersed in nature. This provides the villas with privacy and a natural environment, resembling private riverside villas. The bedroom décor is simple and refreshing, with expansive views, providing a relaxing atmosphere.
The Three-Bedroom Suite Villas are the most unique and spacious accommodations in the resort. These villas are located farthest from the lobby but closest to the river. The living room and master bedroom have three large floor-to-ceiling windows, providing excellent lighting. Guests staying in the Three-Bedroom Suite Villas can enjoy panoramic views of the Mae Nam Chao Phraya from indoors, watching the sunrise and sunset during the day and admiring the starry sky and twinkling lights at night. These villas allow guests to fully appreciate the breathtaking views of the riverbanks.
In addition to the stylish rooms, the dining area in the resort also has its own charm. The restaurant features Thailand's typical gabled roof, conveying Thai charm. The intricately crafted imitation gabled roofs are strategically arranged, and the white transparent tension membrane structure used for the roofs adds modernity to the entire building. The roof design not only increases the natural lighting of the restaurant but also improves its ventilation. The open and relaxed atmosphere is pervasive. The blue chairs complement the Mae Nam Chao Phraya. The restaurant is divided into indoor and outdoor areas, allowing guests to choose their preferred dining area. On pleasant evenings, sitting in the restaurant, feeling the breeze from the riverside, enjoying Thai cuisine complemented with global wines, craft beers, and creative cocktails, offers an extremely delightful experience.
In addition to its complete hotel facilities and the serene environment that allows guests to relax, the resort has two docks and provides free shuttle boat services, including transportation to and from the Royal Palace, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the river and explore the nearby scenery, experiencing the rich heritage of this captivating yet relatively undiscovered region.
Here, you can stroll on the lush green lawn, feel the breeze, and experience the happiness that nature brings. Sala Bang Pa-In is distinct from other luxurious hotels, as it leans towards a minimalist and natural style, allowing guests to enjoy nature and find fulfillment for their mind, body, and soul.
